Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group is hiring for a Level 1 Support Desk Technician located in our operations center in Virginia Beach.
Duties include:
Provides email, ticket based, phone and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, networks, printers, system repair, and other applications. Serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting all technology issues. Assists other Information & Technology Staff with various projects.
Provides Help Desk support as follows:
1. Resolves all calls or support tickets as per existing protocols (Tier 1)
2. Uses standard help desk software (e.g. Spiceworks)
3. Monitors the existing LAN/WAN systems and reports/troubleshoots issues to designated personnel or vendors
4. Builds and/or repairs client computers as required
Required Skills:
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to communicate well and interface with many levels of customer personnel
· Must have demonstrated skills to support problems and use of common desktop products (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer)
· Must have aptitude to learn and support business specific software
· Must have demonstrated skills to troubleshoot and repair PC Hardware
· Must have demonstrated skills to support Windows Networking Environment
Minimum Required Experience:
Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or at least 2 years of experience working as a support desk technician working with the required skills cited above. Additional information technology certifications or experience a plus.
