Plans and provides physical education instruction for students. Participates in departmental meetings and completes paperwork pertaining to individualized education plans, report cards, and quarterly progress reports. Maintains primary responsibility for development of physical education curriculum.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and hold a Virginia Teaching License in Physical Education. Must have a good working knowledge of physical education and developmental principles of behavior management techniques. Previous experience in mental health or special education is preferred. Knowledge and experience in the area of therapeutic recreation is preferred.
