We are currently seeking talented Physical Damage Specialist for our Norfolk, VA facility.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Positively impacts indemnity leakage, quality outcomes from auto appraisal process and delivery of service.
JOB DUTIES
Performs re-inspections and/or reviews on damaged or repaired vehicles, appraisal damage and damage images, and all associated documents in an effort to positively impact leakage and quality.
Monitors appraisal provider performance through the analysis of reports.
Provides physical damage guidance and/or mentoring that improves results and ensures consistent application of regulatory and company policy.
Assists territory management with administration of applicable appraisal providers.
Evaluates auto damage as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
H.S. Diploma (or equivalent).
3+ years relevant auto appraisal experience.
Computer literate in a Windows operating environment.
Acquisition and maintenance of applicable adjuster's license/s.
Acquisition and maintenance of I-CAR Platinum class status.
Must meet all USAA safety driving requirements.
Driving record will be verified through MVR.
Preferred
Good computer skills to include working knowledge of CCC, ADP, Pathways estimating platforms and Excel spreadsheets.
Familiarity with salvage procedures, identifying possible subrogation files, as well as claims systems & photo imaging.
Customer service experience to include excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Self motivated & self directed.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Prior field experience.
Prior collision repair experience.
Strong negotiation, investigation and computer skills.
Must be able to travel and be available for CAT duty.
Must be able to regularly lift 30 lbs.
