Alarm Technician

Pinnacle Security is proud to announce the opening of a Full-Time Alarm Technician in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. We are looking for a self-motivated and self-managing individual who is capable of installing and servicing home security systems, as well as represent our company by being the face of customer service for the area. We are looking for someone who is management material, and will be able to hire, train, and manage a team of technicians in 1 - 2 years based on the need. Our company is expanding at a fast pace, and for this reason we ask that only serious applicants who are interested in long-term positions apply. Construction or Electrical related experience is required. Security installation experience is preferred. We will train based on the level of your experience. Customer Service oriented skills are a must. Systems we offer include the Simon XT, Lynx, Concord, and Vista. We will provide tools if not already owned. Most service tickets and installs are located in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area, but must be willing to cover 150 mile radius (including Richmond) from Norfolk. Must have your own vehicle, cell phone, computer, and printer/scanner.

Responsibilities include:
-Installing and servicing Simon XT, Lynx, Concord, and Vista security systems.
-Self-Managing the area, as well as time between appointments
-Interacting with customers and resolving issues
-Traveling to daily scheduled and being on call once they’re finished
-Tracking personal inventory and submitting counts weekly
-Attending weekly Regional Conference Calls
-Attend Personalized Management Training for future positions

Qualifications Required:

- Pass drug test, motor vehicle check, and criminal background check

Pay breakdown: (Average of 3-5 Service/New Installs a Day)
- $23 per Service Ticket
- $58 per New Installation / Move
- $20 if Customer No-Shows an appointment (Service or Install)
- $200 Weekly Salary (whether busy or not)
- $100 Month Cell Phone / Internet Bonus
- Travel Compensation for certain miles traveled *(Read Below)
- Guaranteed Minimum of $25,812.80 a Year **(Read Below)

*Travel Compensation: $20 / Over 50 miles $40 / Over 75 miles $60 / Over 125 miles (These 3 are the travel compensations available. It is paid based off of the distance from 1 location to another, and is only paid one way. For example: If you go from your house to your first service call and it is say 55 miles, you will be paid $20. If your next appointment is 5 miles away, there is no reimbursement. If your next and last appointment is 25 miles, there is no reimbursement. When you head home the total reimbursement for the day is $20 and not $40 because you've driven over 75 miles away from your home in total.)

**Guaranteed Minimum: If at the end of the month you have not been paid $496.40 total for each week ($1985.60 for a 4 week period) you will be given the difference on the 1st pay check of the next month. This calculates to a yearly minimum guaranteed of $25,812.80. Keep in mind that this is our entry level position guarantee and is a MINIMUM to help our techs in the case that work happened to get slow. Increased guarantees are based on trimester performance reviews and reach levels of $45,000 plus bonuses when management positions are obtained.
